Gyro the Dog needs a home
For those of you who have been following our page for a few years and recall the Sandwich Puppies litter from 2014, Gyro is a friendly blast from the past! That’s right - after nearly 3 years in a home, Gyro is back at TBL in search of his true forever home. His previous adopter didn’t have the decency to bring him back us directly, and instead, dumped him at another shelter in San Diego. Luckily, Gyro is ready to shake off the past and look forward to a fresh start! This handsome young fella is just as cute and lovable as we remembered him. Gyro gets along well with other dogs big or small, and he currently hangs out in the front office as one of our lobby greeters. Though he can be a little bashful when first meeting new people, give him a few moments, and he’ll show you his true trusting self. Around people he knows, Gyro is a very outgoing, friendly, affectionate, and fun-loving boy. He will even beg to get picked up by his favorite volunteers, and he’s perfectly fine with being cradled like a baby. His mama Rye was a Bull Terrier/Dachshund mix, and you can definitely see physical similarities in his rib cage, facial features, and low-riding physique. He is a great medium size weighing between 25-30 pounds. Gyro was born at TBL on May 16th, and he is a little over 3 and a half years old as of early 2018. Let’s find this sweet boy his well-deserved forever home!
