Adopt a Dachshund (short coat)
Adoption pending - PJ and Charlie the Dog needs a home
Hi there! Our names are PJ and Charlie and we are a father and son bonded pair looking for a forever home to live out our lives together.
I am PJ. I am a 10 year old neutered male. I am Charlie’s Dad. I know, no one can believe it because I am much smaller than him, but believe me, I make up for it in personality! I love to be with my people and my son. I spend most of my days hanging out or snoozing with Charlie. I like to go for walks and enjoy being outside, especially sitting in the sunshine! I am mostly on a soft food diet because I have very few teeth left. I sleep in my crate at night next to my son in his crate, but between you and me, if you want a snuggle buddy at night both of us would probably enjoy being in the big bed!
I am Charlie. I am an 8 year old neutered male. I am the son. My dad PJ loves me so much that he never lets me out of his sight! I love to hang out with my Dad all day but I also enjoy the company of my humans. I am told I have some weight to lose. I have lost a tiny bit so far and noticed that I am getting more energy! I love to be outside exploring in the yard and soaking up the sun!
Like father, like son definitely applies to us! We enjoy a lot of the same things. If you are looking for companion buddies to love and to love you back you have come to the right place!

Adoption Fee: $350.00 (for both PJ & Charlie) + $45.00 for a health certificate (for each dog) if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
Transportation Help
If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
