Adopt a Australian Shepherd / Staffordshire Bull Terrier (medium coat)
Harriet the Dog needs a home
In traditional English, the meaning of the name Harriet is: rules the home. Well Harriet certainly rules and she would love a forever home to call her own! Say hello to Harriet, a fun and spunky Australian Shepherd and Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. We rescued Harriet from a kill shelter in Carson, California. A mix of her Aussie and Staffy parentage, Harriet is highly intelligent, active, friendly, affectionate, energetic, good-natured and outgoing. She loves adventure and can’t wait to go on daily walks with volunteers. She could use some training in the leash department (mostly because she is eager to check out all the new sights and sounds of the world), but given her attentive and people-pleasing personality, Harriet will have no trouble mastering basic training. In her current play group, Harriet tends to lay back and dog-watch as opposed to engaging in play with the other pups. She has passed a cat test with flying colors so she would do well in a home with feline friends. She enjoys spending time with people and is content getting loved on all day long. Harriet is a great medium size of roughly 35-40 pounds, and her pretty gray and white coat will require moderate grooming from time to time to stay soft and shiny. She is about 3 years old as of early 2018. If Harriet sounds like the perfect girl to keep you motivated to get outside and move, hurry and get your adoption application in to meet her!
