Adopt a Shiba Inu / Finnish Spitz / Mixed (short coat)
Elroy the Dog needs a home
Estimated Age: 4 years
Meet Elroy! Hi! I'm Elroy! Don't you love my twisty tail and adorable ears? I'm a great little guy ready for a good time and a fun house. I bond really strongly with those I love and I am ready to pour affection and kisses all over you. Right on the lips, please! And your lap? I'd like to be in it all the time, thanks.
I have a medium amount of energy and do well with a few walks a day and some playtime. I may have an accident in the house when everything is new to me but otherwise I'm potty trained and used to living in a home with a family. About that though, I'd do best in a home with no kids. Their loud noises and sudden movements just aren't for me. I'd do fine in a house as the only dog or with a doggie friend as long you take some time introducing us. I'm not sure about cats, though; I've never met one.
I go into my kennel great, as long as I get a tasty treat when I'm inside it. I'm even learning to go in on command. Pretty cool, right? I love stuffed toys and ripping out all the stuffing; it's the best! I love Kongs full of peanut butter, crunchy carrots, and fun toys where I need to work to get the treats out. Who wouldn't? So fun! I have tons of personality, with squeaks and squawks when I play. Never a dull moment with me. Unless of course we want to take a nap together, I'm in! I love to play, but I really appreciate the quiet side of life too sometimes. Life is good, let's enjoy all of it together.
My favorite thing in the world is probably my people. I love pets and snuggles and lots of love from those I care about. I can get a little nervous if there are lots of new people over or if something is too stimulating so I need a little space sometimes in big situations, but overall I'm a great guy looking for a best friend. Think that might be you? Apply to meet me today!
