As I understand it, there are jobs for dogs where they sniff out various items like, bombs, drugs or expensive truffles. Do you know if there are any jobs specifically for dogs highly skilled in the art of detecting hot dogs? No, not Dachshunds, I'm talking weenies, sausages and the like? I'd be a shoe in. I could even sneaky pick pocket the weiner right out of the perp's clothes without them even knowing. I practice my keen skills on volunteer Theresa every day! I'm a male, 5 year old 50 lb dog named after a crime fighting cartoon called Atom Ant. I am a Sharpei mix, which sometimes auto-corrects to Sharpie like the permanent marker, which makes scents because my wrinkles are permanent. As is common with my breed I have some skin issues that while are 200% better than when I got here will always need special care because of my breed. Now that I'm off the mean streets I enjoy the finer things in life such as the afurementioned pocket hot dogs, soft beds and a blanket that I carry around. It's mine! I like squeaky toys, chew toys and treats, especially treats, weenies! I don't feel any need to guard my stuff from people but due to my past street life I am not good at sharing my stuff with other dogs. So I'm only allowed food and toys during people play time. I love all people big and small, young and old. However I may not want to share toys with a small person, so it would be a good idea to adopt me only if you have older kids, so I don't get into trouble. When toys and food aren't around, I do like running and playing and hanging out with dogs around my size and I am interested in puppies but I don't have too much patience for crazy over the top in your face puppy play. It seems that I may have challenges but I'm awesome and making lots of pawgress, so keep reading. I came to the rescue skinny and scared from having been on my own for far too long. I didn't have anything to call mine and now I'm just so excited to have all this stuff that I worry someone will take it all away and I'll be back to sad skinny and alone. I don't want that scary life again! If you have patience to work with me, I give you a gold star pawmise to be loyal, smart and learn my manners. I already learned sit, but sometimes I'm too excited to keep still! My last thoughts are that I love car rides, water and even bathes!!! GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. UPON adoption this dog/pup will be transported to you in YOUR area!!
Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and current on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
****Please realize that breed mix and size when grown are guesstimates based on the dog/pup's characteristics and coloring, unless we have mother/father in our rescue...*****
ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $300.00 FOR LOCAL ( Local is in the state of Texas)! Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $500.00 We transport all over the country!!
