Truman the Dog needs a home
Truman was rescued just in the nick of time! He was at a full shelter after being found as a stray and was about to be euthanized as they were out of space and he's heartworm positive. The shelter staff told us he had been signed off to be put to sleep so we asked if there was still time to save him and she literally sprinted down the hall to get him, whew!
So Truman is now safe and ready to find the loving family he deserved all along! He's about 55 lbs and is estimated to be around three years old.
He is a very handsome boy - we love his eye patch! He loves to run and play in the yard, and will walk next to his human companion with a wagging tail and a sparkle in his eye. He likes to sit next to you and lean in for plenty of petting, hugs and kisses. He loves to be loved and gives plenty of love back.
You spend a few minutes with him and your heart will be warm and you'll have a smile on your face. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently, and is housetrained.
Truman deserves a loving family that he can cuddle on the couch with and take long naps with!

Truman's adoption fee is $225 and that covers his vaccinations, microchip and neuter. He's heartworm positive so we will cover treatment at one of our partner vets and then he just needs to be on monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm is common in Texas because there are so many mosquitoes!
