Adopt a Hound / Mixed

A TOTAL SWEETHEART:  7 years old / 49 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I came to MM’s with an injury to my right hind leg and needed surgery.  So, I’ve had my FHO surgery to repair it and am recovering very well!  I get to do a little physical therapy with my foster family at home and haven’t been totally released to full activity yet, but it’s coming soon.  Fortunately, I’m comfortable with being in my crate, as my foster family keeps it in the room they spend a lot of time in.  I’ll even hang out in it with the door open and my family home since I’m still close to my people.  I’ve trained my people to give me a treat when they say the ‘crate’ command.  He he!  I’m very treat motivated.  I’m also what you call a “love-sponge”, as I’m very affectionate and sweet but not annoying.  I always say, “I can’t get too many pets and love from my family, friends of the family and the strangers I’ve met along the way”.   I’ve been nice with all the friendly dog’s I’ve met, although a little concerned when meeting females, but after a proper introduction and some sniffing and you just telling me it’s all good, I’ve been very nice with them.  When meeting other dogs, it’s best that it’s done outside as I sometimes have an excitement or stress #2 upon meeting.  There’s a nice kitty in my foster home and we get along well, but I will chase if she runs.  That’s the dog in me, I like chasing toys or anything that moves fast although I am not allowed to do that yet.  I’ve had very good potty manners in my foster home, have been quiet and not destructive of things that weren’t mine.  I walk well on a leash, but at times will sit down and not want to move.  I can carefully go up and down stairs when it’s bed time, so I can sleep in the room with my family.  I’ve been very nice with the kids I’ve met, but don’t really recognize personal space, so I step on toes, have a powerful tail and could easily bump younger kids over with my happiness.  I’m quite a nice girl and whoever adopts me will be one lucky family!  Energy level: 4-6.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed and my adoption fee is $275.00.
