Miniature Schnauzer / Mixed (short coat) Dog

PEPPER (SRC1894) in NC the Dog needs a home

My name is PEPPER, and my SRC Identification Number is 1894.  I am micro-chipped, have all my vaccinations, been spayed, am heart-worm negative/   I got an extensive dental at the SRC vet's office.  I have some lipomas which my vet  examined to see but they did not need to be removed .  My loving foster mom who thinks I am adorable and has  evaluated  me for more 2 weeks  so now  I am available for adoption.  I am only 12 pounds right now but am eating better because my mouth no longer hurts. Before my extensive dental  it was   very difficult for me to eat.  Others might have euthanized me yet SRC is dedicated to assuring that I get the best possible care so soon my pain is going to be over and I am eating normally again.  I  still eat  canned puppy food to assure I get as much vitamin content as possible.  I am far too sweet to suffer as much as I have already!  I am definitely a senoir and sleep quite a bit.  I do not play and prefer to be a lap baby.  I need someone who will understand that I only want to be cuddled and will not be active.  I need to be allowed out to potty frequently due to my age and the trauma I went through in my lifetime.

(SRC#1894) PEPPER's  Story

PEPPER with this unique identification number: (SRC#1894) came into our care on August 5, 2017 and is being  prepared for adoption by a foster family who have gone thru our approval process.  She is such a sweet little girl who was rescued from a local shelter and then almost euthanized when it was determined that she needed a major dental.  SRC stepped up to assure that Pepper got what she needed.  She has too much life left in her not to assure that she enjoys every minute of it. She is a bashful little girl and  now that she has come out of her shell her personality is still quiet and unassuming -- she prefers a quiet environment with very little activity.  She would prefer to be held and would do very well with an older couple or a couch potato.  With a face like that, she does have a heart of gold too.  She just needs someone to let her live out her years in peace and harmony.  We at SRC just want her to have that loving home she deserves.

When ready for adoption this dog will be heart-worm  tested (negative), de-wormed, vaccinations brought up to date,  spayed if not done already, micro-chipped, examined fully by a vet and any necessary medical issues found by this vet will have  been addressed. It is anticipated that this dog will be released for adoption by the same date as the completion of the Evaluation. The date of release of this dog is at the discretion of the SRC Core Team.
