Neeci the Cat needs a home
Neeci came to Purrfect Pals from another shelter after testing positive for feline leukemia. Purrfect Pals stepped in to prevent her being euthanized and placed her in a fabulous foster home until she was ready to join the other cats in our Leuki sanctuary. This tiny, 5 year-old house panther is active, playful, enjoys wand type toys and playing tag or hide and seek with the other cats. She spends part of every day running on the cat wheel and part of it sleeping in dark hiding places. Neeci is not a lap cat and doesn't really like to be picked up. She does like to be petted on her back and under her chin ( but not on her belly or feet) and if she really likes you will sit on your chest and rub her face against your cheek. This girl is quite food motivated and gets excited whenever she hears a can opener or the pop of a can lid. She eats canned food, not dry, but makes an exception for freeze dried chicken treats, which she adores. Neeci tolerates other cats but will swat at them if they cross her path too closely. She goes us and down the ramp from the leuki room into the enclosed yard below, where she likes to hang out in nice weather. From her time in foster care we know Neeci is friendlier and more relaxed in a real home than at the shelter, and who can blame her? This sweet girl has spent most of her life in our shelter and we think she's way past due for a home of her own! Neeci is available as a permanent foster, meaning Purrfect Pals would provide vet care and cover the costs for any health issues related to her feline leukemia while you have the joy of being her person and giving her the home she deserves. Like all Purrfect Pals cats, Neeci has been viral tested, altered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
