Adopt a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed
Sweetie the Dog needs a home
Sweetie is as adorable as they come! She is eager to find a family to give all of her love to. Known for being attentive and loyal, Cattle Dog mixes are best suited for moderately active to active families that enjoy going to the park and walking, hiking or jogging. The are very smart, and would be great for adopters that are interested in developing a deep bond with their puppy by teaching them lots of skills and tricks. If you are looking for an intelligent, medium-sized loving pup, Sweetie is your girl! One of a litter of 4, these puppies were in awful shape when they arrived- a myriad of intestinal parasites, skin infections, respiratory infections, they were dehydrated and lethargic and severely underweight. They required a lot of immediate medical attention and spent their first few days in our ICU. Sweetie had a pretty significant tear in her right ear, but all that is left now are a few scabs (seen in photos), and it is almost completely healed. Now that they have recovered from their health issues, they are ready to find the loving families they deserve!
Sweetie has an inguinal hernia that will be repaired prior to adoption. It is not bothering her, however, it does need to be surgically corrected. The surgery can be quite costly, so we would rather complete it while she is here.
