Coming home one day, I swing open the garage door and there Daisy was. She looked like she was a stray, no collar, dusty. One hello meow was all it took. She followed me everywhere after that. When I went for a walk around the area, she was always just a few steps behind. She was there to say goodbye when I left for work, and she was there when I got home to greet me. Eventually I took to supplying her food, water, and an outdoor shelter where she could sleep during the cold nights. She hasn't wandered off since.
Daisy really brought the community together as neighbors would come and refill her bowl and provide her treats. She is still majorly an outside cat today, but we know she would love to find a home where she could be an indoor only cat. One of her ears is slightly smaller than the other and we think she's low on hearing from an unknown past incident, but not deaf. If she continues to live outside, it could pose a hazard for her as she would not be able to hear anything coming from behind.
Right now, we are having Daisy sleep over at a neighbors place on the weekends and she seems to do really well. Loves cuddling and purring constantly while being petted, playing with her scratching post, and sleeping on the couch next to you while you read. Daisy's a simple cat that would love to keep you company
