RESCUING JIGGY
After being hit by a car, Jiggy came to Fulton County Animal Services. He didn’t appear to have any major physical injuries, but showed signs of some neurological issues. Jiggy also tested positive for heartworms. Jiggy got his freedom ride on 3/24/14 when a local foster stepped up for him. Jiggy was immediately checked out by our vet. He carries his head with a tilt from vertigo which was most likely due to bad ear infections in both of his ears and possibly a ruptured ear drum from the head trauma. His eyes were spasmatic, his back end was a little unstable, his eye is infected, and he has kennel cough. Jiggy has been treated for his infections and is doing great in his foster home. In May 2014, he was treated for his mild heartworms. The vet didn't see any sign of permanent damage to his lungs and he only needed one month of restricted activity. Jiggy still has a slight head tilt from the accident and he's not the most stable boy sometimes, but it doesn't slow him down a bit!
ABOUT JIGGY
Jiggy is crate-trained and housebroken. He loves going for walks and cuddling up with his people. He would do best in an adult only home that is experienced in handling large dogs and-or bully breeds. Jiggy will need clear boundaries set by someone that can be a pack leader to this boy.
