Jackie (VA) the Dog needs a home
This is Jackie, a spunky 16-lb. Terrier mix, who is around 7 years old. She was picked up as a stray in Northern Virginia. It's a mystery as to why her owners never came to claim her and no one jumped to adopt her at the shelter because Jackie is a delightful dog. She is house-trained, knows how to use a dog door, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. She gets along fine with her canine foster brothers (although she can be a bit bossy with them at times), but she REALLY loves her humans. Jackie adores any human she happens to meet and greets perfect strangers with a waggling back end. She relishes long morning walks, afternoon naps, and watching out the window for squirrels. Jackie can be a little "mouthy" when she plays, so she needs to go to a family that does not have small children. Jackie is looking for a forever family who will give her the exercise she needs and return the love that she so willingly shares.
