Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (long coat)

Pickles (AKA CoCo) will be shown by appointment only upon receipt of an online application which can be found at kcpaws.petfinder.com  CoCo is in foster care and not housed at our facility.

Pickles is an incredibly sweet and spunky 12-13 year old Silky Terrier/Pomeranian mix.  She has had a rough couple of years ending up in one small rural shelter in 2016, being adopted, then abandoned by her owner and ending up in another small rural shelter in 2017.  Poor girl has been shuffled around and just wants a home of her own to live out her golden years.

Pickles is bright, alert, has a strong heart and is in good shape for a dog her age.  She does have some problem with her knees that causes her to walk a little funny and she is on some pain management for arthritis but other than that she's up and ready to go at a moments notice. 

Pickles does have some problems holding her bladder overnight.  She wears a diaper overnight and does not seem to mind it.  During the day, as long as you are there to let her out when she needs to go, she will do fine.  Pickles does have some minor kidney issues and is on no medications or special food currently. She just needs to have water available to her at all times.

She loves being with her humans and will follow you wherever you go to make sure she doesn't loose you like she lost her last owner.   She enjoys being curled up on the couch with you and is just a sweet girl.

Will you be her hero?  Will you step up for this girl and give her a comfortable loving place to live out the last years of her life?  You will not regret it, adopting senior dogs is so rewarding and they appreciate your kindness even that much more.
