Benny the Dog needs a home
Benny, oh, Benny! This sweet dog didn't come from the best beginnings, as he was abandoned on a property when his owners moved away. He was fed by neighbors until one day he escaped the yard and ended up at the city shelter. Next stop: Austin Pets Alive! Due to his auspicious beginnings, Benny hasn't had much practice just being a dog, but the team at APA! is working to change that!! He doesn't see very well but can sniff out treats like a champ! He's already learned sit, as it earns him the most cookies. With the hard work of the behavior team, Benny is learning that moving cars just aren't that scary and how to walk like a proper gentleman on leash. While he hasn't perfected his dog manners, he's already come just a long way! Benny is a silly boy who likes those romps in the yard - and then he's a big fan of naps. Toys weren't in his repetoire before he found himself at APA!, so don't be surprised if this special dog mistakes a rock for a ball! With patience and love, Benny will you show how deserving he is of his very own forever home. We can't wait to see his transformation!
