And now, a few words from me:
I’m looking for my human soul mate, are you looking for a doggie that loves to be by your side and warm your lap? If you have lots of time to spend with me and give me the petting and cuddles that I know I deserve, I would love to meet you, please apply soon!
And now, a few words from my foster mom:
Tetley is a big cuddle bug, and is happiest when he is in the lap of his people. He finds sneaky ways to install himself in your lap, and before you even realize it, there he is, gazing lovingly into your eyes! When not on a lap, he likes to follow you around wherever you go. He has lived with his brother Hudson his whole life, so we would love for them to be adopted together. The two enjoy hanging out together and grooming each other and they do seem to depend on each other when their people are not there or when they are unsure.
Tetley came from a home that didn’t have enough time for him, and he was crated for most of the day. As a result, he really does not like to be alone, so someone who is home for a good part of the day would be best. While generally fairly quiet, he can occasionally be a bit vocal when feeling lonely or if he hears strange noises, so apartment or condo living would not be recommended. He seems to get along with most well-behaved dogs and is fine with the cat in his foster home. He is reserved when meeting new people, and especially wary with young children, so a home with older, respectful children is recommended. He picks up on the cues of his brother Hudson, so can bark or react when another dog starts. We are working to perfect his potty training – he will do his business outside, and while he is in the house he will use pee pads fairly reliably. He is very comfortable wearing a “belly band” in case you are worried that he might have an accident. He is just learning how to walk on a leash, and the big world outside seems to be very confusing for him, but he will learn very quickly as he loves to follow his people closely and is very willing to please. He does love to be outside, and his terrier hunter instincts do appear when there is a squirrel or bunny in the yard. He is also a bit of a chewer and will occasionally find stray items lying around the house to test his chompers on, so a home that is fairly tidy and that provides him lots of safe chewing opportunities would be safest.
If this sweet and gentle boy looks like the dog for you and you also have room for his brother Hudson, please send in your application!
