Maria Glenn the Dog needs a home
Maria lived in a home with an older man and approximately 21 other small dogs, and she is still adjusting to her new life. She was fed wet food and pork chops most of her life, so it took her a long time to start to eat dry dog food. She spends a lot of time in her kennel but does come out and spend time on the back of the couch. She just doesn’t like to be too close to anyone. If she’s on the couch and we come near her, she will leave and go to her kennel. She won’t come to us willingly in any situation and needs a lot of work with both human and dog socialization. She will pee in yard, but she also goes inside on potty pads. She has never walked on leash, and extreme caution will need to be taken to ensure that she does not get loose in an unsecured area. A home with children would be too overwhelming for her, but she is fine with other dogs as long as they do not get in her face too much. Maria is looking for an adopter who is prepared to gently and patiently push her to explore her surroundings and teach her the world is not so scary.
