Tippy Toes the Dog needs a home
Our Denny's pups were born in a pile of railroad ties behind a local Denny's restaurant. Their mom, Tippy Toes, had become quite a local celebrity frequenting local eateries and getting handouts. She evaded capture for many months. Once the puppies were born local rescue groups stepped up their efforts, knowing how dangerous it was for the puppies. Tippy was finally trapped using the puppies as bait. The whole family is doing wonderfully. The puppies will be available anytime after the 24th of August you can see them on the website: they all start with the name "Denny's"
UPDATE 10/4/12: Tippy Toes is adjusting well! While she is still timid, she has become very playful and actually loves attention. She now comes to her foster mom but usually plays hard-to-get for everyone else in the family. Her days surviving on the streets are gone and she's learning to live life as a pampered pooch with sofa privileges. While she needs a little more work with leash training, Tippy is ready for her forever home with someone that is going to be patient in building a lasting relationship.
UPDATE 11/4/2014: Tippy has adjusted to human companionship and family life well. While she can still be guarded when meeting new people, she has also shown us that she can build meaningful relationships. With a little patience, training, and love, Tippy will be a perfect fit for the right family. Tippy would enjoy a family with older children (or visiting grandchildren), daily walks or even hikes through the hills (on a leash of course), sofa time, and maybe even a little travel. Tippy gets along well with most dogs, she doesn't mind cats, is crate trained and mostly housetrained
