Adopt a Lizard

Lizard Lizard

Izzy the Lizard needs a home

Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.

Meet Izzy! ARWOB has agreed to take Izzy and find him a forever home. We normally do not take in iguanas, but we offered to help. Izzy will need a patient adopter who has experience with iguanas.

Here is what his former caretaker had to say about Izzy: We would like to find a good home for Izzy with someone that has experience with large iguanas. He was found roaming around on our animal health campus in 2010 as a juvenile and was estimated to be about two years of age. It was obvious that he was not used to being handled so I had to work with him. Unfortunately, he is no longer suitable to be a resident animal in our a teaching environment and he deserves a home where he will be loved and understood.

If you are interested in adopting Izzy, please fill out an online adoption application (since we normally do not adopt out lizards, please use a "dog adoption application" when filling out the application online). This big guy would love to find a home with a family who understand the needs of an iguana!

If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
