Adopt a Tortoiseshell / Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Look at that face and those gorgeous gold eyes! Felicia is begging you to take a closer look. She'd like to become your one and only feline! 

First seen by her rescuer desperately gulping bird seed from underneath a feeder on a frigid winter day, Felicia was soon much happier in the warmth of her Cat Shack foster home. The one thing she has never been overly happy about is sharing her living quarters with multiple other foster cats. She has learned to tolerate her fellow felines over the course of time, but becoming the solitary queen of her own private domain remains her steadfast dream. She has been waiting far too long for that dream to come true.

Felicia is quite affectionate with her foster Mom. She comes running as soon as her foster Mom arrives, and starts out by rubbing against her foster Mom's legs. Then she is up on the counter, enthusiastically enjoying her private serving of canned food, but also happily taste testing the servings being prepared for her fellow foster cats. She loves to be petted by her foster Mom but prefers not to be picked up. Chances are good that she will learn to enjoy real snuggling once given that opportunity. Felicia does have a mind of her own and will let you know if she is perturbed or not interested in any further attention at the moment. She is not nasty about it, she just doesn't want to be pushed! This is a cat who wants to love and be loved by her own person, in a home in which she can finally feel entirely comfortable.

Felicia does have her silly moments! She goes nuts over catnip, sometimes excitedly chases her own tail or some toy she previously ignored, and just might decide to sit in the kitchen sink, as shown in one of the photos below.

Felicia's estimated date of birth is March 9, 2012. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, negative for feline leukemia and FIV and in excellent health. She has beautiful soft tortoiseshell coloring of shades of gray and beige and those beautiful golden eyes. She'd love to become your best friend, if you will become hers.
