BOOTS the Horse needs a home
Boots arrived at Longmeadow in January 2012. He was in horrible condition and probably wouldn''t have survived another week if he had stayed on the property where he was rescued from. Boots appeared to be an orphaned foal. He was just a month old and none of the other horses acted like his mom. Boots was so weak that he needed help getting up once he would lay down. Luckily he was a fighter and after a blood transfusion, months of good nutrition, deworming and lots of supportive care, Boots is now a strong and growing young gelding. He is very handsome with his white `boots`.
Boots has been progressing quickly in the training program. Due to the conditions of his rescue, Boots had some back pain that was remedied by several chiropractic adjustments and he is now pain free!
Boots knows how to stand tied and will pick up his feet for the farrier.
**Boots would be appropriate for a pasture pet ONLY home! He has been inconsistent under saddle and we think that he continues to have discomfort in his back. He knows his groundwork like an expert and would love to be an agility horse. He is perfectly comfortable working around and over obstables. He just doesn''t want to carry a rider.**
