Adopt a Domestic Medium Hair

Xavier is a crazy boy who loves to play and loves his food! He's definitely a people kitty who likes to cuddle and loves playing with kids. He loves the dogs and other cats in his foster home and would do best with other animals in his new home. 

Right now we're looking for a special home for Xavier. See, Xavier came to us after sustaining some pretty bad injuries. Somehow he lost part of one of his back legs and a few toes from the other leg. We're working with Critter Crusaders to find the best course of treatment for this sweet boy. But its going to take some time. We need to wait and see how well his remaining leg, with the missing toes, can support his body as he grows. If he is unable to support himself as he gets bigger with that leg he may be a candidate for a prosthetic for his other leg. 

Unfortunately for Xavier that means more time in rescue while he waits to find out what needs to happen. So we made a deal with him and told him we would try to find his forever home and see if they would like to foster him while we work through his medical case. 

If you would like to foster to adopt Xavier you can fill out a foster application on our website. Just make a note somewhere that you're interested in Xavier. All medical expenses will be covered up until his adoption is completed. That includes everything not related to his leg (shots, neuter, and anything else he may need). You'll need to work with Critter Crusaders and Last Hope vets- but hey- we like our vets and it's free for you! 

Xavier is currently in a foster home and available to meet by appointment.  He may make appearances at our weekly open house events but please watch our Facebook page to see who is attending the events. You may also let us know if you want to meet him specifically and we'll set up a time!
