Moose the Dog needs a home

Moose is always the first to call “shotgun”! He loves to ride in cars and is a great co-pilot for anyone on the go. Found at 3 yrs old, it seems he’s had a very hard life, which makes him all the more appreciative of a warm bed and affection from our staff. He doesn’t take easily to other dogs, and this may be a function of previous bad experience with dogs who were less than welcoming. But that aside, Moose adores people. He’s definitely a companion-type dog who likes to be with his person wherever they go...just being there by their side and sharing Life’s adventures. At the shelter, he is Mr. Loveable, just a big huggable guy, who is always happy to be around his new caretakers. If you need any motivation to stick to your New Year’s resolution to get out more, Moose will be happy to oblige with leash walks (he is very mannerly on a leash) and playing together. And he is always always up for car-ride!

The adoption fee for dogs is $100.00 and cats is $20.00. Every animal adopted from the Dubois County Humane Society has been heartworm tested (dogs), received age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and heartwormed (dogs) and flea treated. All animals have been spayed/neutered.
