Adopt a Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat)

Hi! I'm Lexy born 3/28/08 and I weigh 15lbs. I am looking for a forever home. I am a female Terrier/Chihuahua mix, but I don’t know where the Chihuahua part is. I'm very affectionate when I get to know you and I want to be your companion. I love spending time together going for walks and enjoy going for car rides, playing fetch with my toys and snuggling up with you. I'll stick right by your side through thick and thin. I live with an indoor cat and numerous dogs at my foster home and I get along with everyone, but would much prefer to be the only dog and be just with you. I truly fall in love with my owner and will be totally devoted to her/him and follow you wherever you go. I'm 9 years old, but I don't feel that I'm that old; I am still very energetic and very loving. I am spayed, potty trained and do well in a crate; but I would love to sleep with you though and I won't wake you; I will just cuddle up with you as long as you allow me to. I am ready to go to my forever home with a loving family.

We only adopt our dogs out to Contra Costa County residence only so that we may follow up on their well-being to make sure that they are happy and thriving.

Bring pictures of your yard to show secure fencing. Most of our dogs require a 6 foot fenced yard. Yards must be cleared of any fox tail weeds.

We do adopt small dogs to apartments or condo and need to see pictures of the patio or balcony area. If you rent, please bring copy of your lease to show you can have pets and any size restrictions.

We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of five unless we know the history of the dog with young children. All Children MUST be present at adoption.

If you own a dog and are looking for a friend please bring your dog with you so they can be introduced.
