Adopt a Eclectus
Coco the Bird needs a home
Can not or will not be adopted to a home with a Male Ekky
Coco is a lively and independent lady who knows what she wants and when she wants it. Birthday feb 2006. She likes attention, but not too much. She will attempt to bite if you try to give too much cuddling. During her time in foster, it seems Coco prefers being handled by women. We have also learned that Coco has a preference for a quieter environment; when it's too noisy or overwhelming, or if she feels threatened, Coco will resort to making her loud calls to bring attention and order to the chaos. Coco also thrives on routine. Since she came into foster care, her foster family has worked to improve her diet by including fresh greens and a pellet blend of food. Her family has also implemented more supervised out of cage time, and a consistent bed time/ sleep routine so that she is more comfortable and relaxed overnight. With these changes, Coco has become less anxious, she is no longer a chronic egg layer, and she is overall a much happier and healthier bird for it. People who have met Coco liken her personality to that of a cat - independent, finicky, craves attention on her terms, needs predictability. If you've always admired cats but were allergic, and you can keep up her improved diet and schedule, perhaps Coco or someone like her would be a suitable match for you. Coco is being fostered in Leonardo, NJ,
Est Hatch date 2006
