Buttercup is sweet, playful, and friendly with everyone she meets including children. She is easy on a leash, well mannered in the yard, and quiet in her kennel. Buttercup doesn't bark or react to other dogs in the shelter or on the street but she doesn't like it when they get in her face so we're recommending that she be the only dog in the home.

If you’re interested in meeting this sweet little angel, please stop by the Corning Animal Shelter at 4312 Rawson Rd, Sat-Sun 10am-3pm; call us at (530) 824-1985; or apply online at http://www.secondchancepetrescue.org/adoption-application.html

Adoption fees range between $50 and $150, depending on the age and size of the dog. Spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer, and microchip are all included.

Prospective adopters must agree to a home visit, have secure fencing and allow their dog to sleep inside at night. Those coming from out of town may submit a vet reference in place of a home visit. All renters need landlord approval.

If you already have a dog or two, they must be spayed/neutered and brought to the shelter for a meet and greet. Homes that already have more than two dogs, or any unaltered dogs, will not be considered.

Exceptions to these rules may be made in special circumstances.

To get started, please stop by the shelter at 4312 Rawson Rd in Corning Sat-Sun 10am-3pm, call us at 530-824-1985 or apply online at http://www.secondchancepetrescue.org/adoption-application.html
