Sienna the Dog needs a home
UPDATE: Sienna has greatly improved! She's walking albeit a little stiff legged. She runs and walks and she doesn't seem to be in any pain. She doesn't realize that she has a handicap and everyday we see improvement. She is now ready for her forever home.
Sienna was surrendered to a local shelter and pulled by a good Samaritan with the intention of finding a rescue. We were eventually contacted and Sienna became an ATDR dog in July! The vet specialist believes she was hit by a car and is very wobbly in her rear. Originally what the shelter thought was IVDD or a back injury appears to be the aftermath of some kind of trauma. She is learning to walk again and very unsteady on her feet thus far. She will be receiving special cold laser treatments and accupunture to try to get her to bounce back from her injuries and possibly walk again. Please say a prayer for this beautiful girl that she will one day walk without problems and find a home to love her forever! If you'd like to sponsor this baby by making a small monthly donation for her laser treatments there is a donation button on our home page. We have seen some improvement on her laser treatments.
2017 UPDATE: Sienna aka Miss Wiggles is in a new foster home. She got her nick name on her first day because when her foster put a slip leash on her to take her out for a walk, it took exactly 2 seconds for her to wiggle out of it. Sienna is an energetic, happy, sweet baby who doesn't know she has a disability. She races around the house playing with her Doxie friends and the cats in her foster home. She is head strong and pushes her way to the front of the line for dinner and for pats and loving. This girl doesn't want to be left out of anything and doesn't want to be left alone. She's good with cats, good with dogs both small and large, and probably would be good with children.
