Lulu the Dog needs a home


LULU is a one year old (or younger) Boxer mix that ended up, like many do, at the municipal shelter in NYC. We kind of fell in love with her wrinkly face and talked about pulling her, then acted quickly when we found out she was going to be on the 'at risk' list. She is tiny, only 30 lbs and hard to say if she will get much bigger. In addition to the 'shelter cold' she is suffering from a pretty severe case of Demodex mange which has left her scaly and virtually hairless. Winter in the northeast is definitely not a good time to be hairless if you are a dog! But we are keeping her warm and getting her fixed up so she will soon be ready for adoptive home. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. Vet references are required and prior to adoption a home inspection will be conducted. Transport options available. Adoption fee applies.
