Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Calico / Mixed (short coat)
Liza 34842088 the Cat needs a home
Liza is a darling girl! The foster mother that she had been living with since March can't say enough great things about her! She reported that Liza is the sweetest angel who loves petting and that she can also be quite talkative! Liza loves basking in the sun! If there is a screen door that allows her to enjoy fresh air and outside noises, even better! Liza is 9 years old. In addition to being FIV+, she is blind. However, she memorized the layout of her foster mother's apartment and got around so well that it was hard to tell that she was impaired unless you noticed her dilated pupils. They kind of give her an adorable dove-eyed look! Since her original foster mother has to have surgery that requires an extended recovery period and will be unable to care for Liza she was recently moved to a new foster home. However, a forever home is still being sought for this calm and laid back cat. Due to her FIV+ status, her adoption fee will be prepaid by the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter. For more information or to meet Liza, email [email protected]
This cat has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV+ cats can live long, happy and healthy lives without medical intervention. FIV can not be transmitted to people or other non-cat animals, and it is only transmitted between cats through serious bites. FIV+ cats are more difficult to find homes for because people are intimidated by this condition, but we encourage you to talk to your vet about FIV to see if your home is right for this cat!
PETNOTE: All cats will be spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter. Please give this kitty a second chance! Visit the shelter and fill out an adoption application today. Please refer to the cat's 8-digit ID when contacting the shelter about this cat. Thanks!
