Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat)
Sam the Cat needs a home
PZF helps the Wilmington community by paying to have their street cats spayed and neutered. I was in a group of four kittens born to a stray there. When Mom was trapped, we were taken back to PZF to grow up and find real indoor homes and families. My brothers and sisters were confident and outgoing, and adopted right away. I was a bit shyer, and was adopted several weeks later by an elderly woman.
I loved her and she loved me. I was very comfortable in her home. It was quiet, with very few visitors. When she needed to move, the relative who had indicated he would be my guardian could not take me, so PZF became my home again.
I am very sad to be away from my home and my lady, but am learning to socialize with the other cats in the community cat room as well as the volunteers. I’m cautious at first, but after a while I relax and start to play and purr. I am as gentle and sweet as can be, and would love a very quiet home with or without other cats.
