Say hi to Eunice! She is about 7 years old and weighs 4 pounds. She is a friendly and inquisitive girl who has a fair amount of energy to expend. She loves being with her people and following her doggy siblings around. She also enjoys cuddling when she is ready to rest. She is learning what play is and having another playful dog around to be her teacher would really help bring out that playfulness and invigorate her. She does well with small to medium sized dogs but has not been around larger breeds yet.
She is timid of new things, new people, and sudden loud noise, like thunderstorms or commotion. Because of this, she tends to "talk" and alerts others that there are unknown sounds around the house. Her house and crate training is a work in progress, as is leash walking. She hopes to learn the joys of a leash and walks and currently freezes when leashed. She is working on commands for “sit”, “down”, “wait” and “leave it”. She loves bully dog chews, as they are a challenge for her, and Eunice is always up for a good challenge!
Eunice requires to be fed either a moistened raw diet or prescription food as she is predisposed to developing urinary crystals. She
needs a home where she will receive the time and loving patience she needs to be the dog she is meant to be. She would flourish with another dog in the home with a similar energy level who can show her the ropes. Who can give this girl the perfect furever home?
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
