Adopt a Pointer / Mixed (short coat)

Has a dog ever come into your life and you just know there is something exceptional about them?  That's the case with Miss Frieda, an approximately 7 month old Pointer/Hound mix.  When you meet her, you can tell that she has a pure heart, is intelligent, and just wants to be loved.  She is initially shy of strangers, but its totally understandable as humans were less than kind to her when she was just a baby.  Sadly, someone brutally butchered her ears and then proceeded to dump her out of a car.  While her past was unpleasant, this sweet gal adores her people; she just needs a little time to warm up and feel comfortable. Once she warms up, she  is a total love bug, incredibly affectionate, adores her person and loves snuggling. She is a bit nervous around younger children, but she is great with kids age 8 and up once she gets to know them.  Frieda loves to romp and play with her canine foster siblings and gains confidence being around them.  For this reason, a confident resident dog in her forever home is a must, as they will "show her the ropes" and give her confidence in new situations.  She loves to run and romp, thus a fenced yard is a must for this sweet gal.  Not only is Frieda sweet, she is also smart!  She is house trained and great on leash as she just wants to stay by her human.  Because she is young, she is not a good match for someone gone an entire work day.  Frieda is truly is a beautiful girl, who has overcome so much and deserves the love and security of a family.  Frieda is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find her forever home.

The adoption fee for this dog is $295, which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.

Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ) , spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
