FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Elaine is settling in well at her new foster home.  This little girl is such a cutie.  Since she has always been an outdoor dog, we are working on house training, crate training and leash walking. Elaine is also working on basic commands such as sit, stay and come.  She is doing well and is really enjoying the comforts of indoor living.  Elaine is very affectionate and wants to be close to her humans. Everything inside is new to her so she is adjusting and can be a bit fearful at first. But as she explores a new room, sees something new,  she gains courage and realizes that her new life is pretty darn good:-)  She was not socialized well in her past life so is still warming up to other dogs but seems to do fine with children and strangers.   Please consider giving Elaine the home she deserves so she never has to spend another winter outside in the cold.   

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Elaine and two other siblings were owner surrenders to a small, rural shelter.  BFPA was alerted about them and we quickly were able to bring them into our rescue group.  They are now all looking for their forever homes.
