Adopt a Australian Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat)

Jasmine is about 1 year old, very petite at 29 lbs. & as you can see she is adorable! Her situation is that she was terribly abused in KY, I would even say that she has been beaten. She’s extremely fearful of meeting new people. Once she feels safe (which can take several hours or several days -- she can act like a normal dog. She runs, plays & loves being with all her foster siblings. I’m very experienced at working with a abused dog over the years & I'm sure she'll improve the longer she spends with people – but you must understand she may always have trouble meeting new people. She is not a "fear biter" at all - but she goes to the floor when she's scared --- In order to adopt Jazzy, you must have had previous experience with successfully helping an abused dog. It can be done, I’ve done many times but it takes a deep understanding of their situation – you have to treat it like you would if a human had PTSD & patience in allowing them to come to you once they trust you. So if you are that special kind of person who wants to help a dog like Jazzy, please read our adoption requirements & if you can meet or exceed them you can apply on our website. We will not accept any applications from anyone who does not have experience. 

All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed.   

Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase, but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.   

Adoption Requirements:  *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed.  Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that does not have an installed fence.  We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
