Adopt a Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Virtue: Courage the Dog needs a home
We will be doing adoptions on Saturday, February 17th and Sunday, February 18th from 12-4pm at Palo Alto Pet Food Express. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-4pm on Sat. Feb. 17th & Sun. Feb. 18th or until adopted. If interested, please fill out an application if you would like the first opportunity to meet prior to the start of the event. (We will pre-approve one home to meet per dog.)
Courage is a 1-2 year old JRT mix. He is full of character and mischief. He really has settled into his foster home. He acts as if he has always lived there. He is a snuggler and a cuddler. He's a total lover boy. He hangs out with his foster Dad during the day in the home office and as soon as the kids are home he runs to play with them.
Courage is a part of a group of dogs we rescued from a hoarding situation. He escaped it without some of the emotional scars that other dogs are showing. He just is pretty much a chill dog. He has always lived with dogs and cats. He is currently living with big and small dogs. He fits right in. He lives with a dog savvy cat that is twice his size but he does just fine.
Courage is not a barker which is a bit unusual for the breed. He has learned to use the doggy door at his foster home. He is going to be an option for an apartment or condo setting. He is an option once he settles into his new home to go to work with Mom or Dad if they have a dog friendly office.
Courage will need a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years. If there are kids they need to be over the age of 8.
