Adopt a Tortoiseshell (short coat)
Gypsy the Cat needs a home
Gypsy is so sweet, but not much of a lap cat yet. She needs time to trust or get over her shyness. She does love giving head bumps and being petted, but she's pretty independent. She was rescued from a scary, cold situation and brought to Paws & Prayers to start a new life indoors and warm.
She loves the other social cat at foster moms but he is super social. She is non-reactive with cats hissing at her. She does not want to fight. She just leaves them alone if they don't want to be around her. She stays away from dogs even though they don't mean her harm, but she isn't chancing it. She'd rather get up on the shelf unit where it's safe.
She's perfectly litter trained and has not tried to tear up any carpet (has claws). It doesn't seem like she likes to scratch anything but the rope scratcher, and when she's given a small box to tear up, she squeezes her full body into it.
She'd make a good, quiet companion to anyone. Just give her a sunny window with a bird feeder, a way to be up high, maybe a friendly cat buddy, some daily loving scratches, and her favorite food and she's a happy camper.
Spayed, UTD and micro-chipped.
All Paws and Prayers animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and microchipped. Non-obligatory adoption applications (available HERE) are required to be submitted prior to scheduling a meeting and greet.
