Adopt a American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed

Hi I’m Smiley!  I may be little at 36 pounds but I am mighty.  My foster mom calls me a Velcro dog.  I’m not sure what that means but I LOVE my people.  If you are lying on the couch I like to be snuggling with you.  My favorite things to do are snuggle with my people, chew on nylabones, and chase my toys.  I got my name from the toothy grin I get when I smile. 

I live with another dog and cats.  The resident dog is a 73 pound male pitbull and we get along great.  We love to play together!  I am a submissive girl who just wants other dogs to love me!  I get along good with the cats that live with me. 

I hang out in my crate overnight when my foster mom is sleeping and when she is at work.  I’m really quiet in my crate.  My foster mom says I’m the best behaved dog in a crate that she’s ever had!  I am also potty trained.  I already know how to sit but I’m excited to learn more tricks when I start obedience class soon.  I’ve very treat/food motivated so if training involves treats bring it on!! 

I don’t live with any kids but I have met them a time or two and I love them!  I would love to live with a family with kids so I’d have more people to love on. 

A note from Smiley’s Foster Mom-

Smiley is a special needs dog due to being shy and fearful.  She needs a loving and patient adopter who will give her all the time she needs to get comfortable.  We feel she will do best in a home with another dog as she has now in her foster home.   She does great in her foster home but still gets scared in new situations like going to the pet store.  She feels the most comfortable at home snuggling on the couch, playing with the resident dog or cat, playing with toys, or chewing on a nylabone.   If you give this sweet girl a chance you won’t be disappointed.  She’s an amazing and loving dog once she feels confident and comfortable in her surroundings!
