Hi, I'm Kai, which means 'the sea' in Hawaiian, a handsome American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Although my mom loves me, she is no longer able to keep me. I've always been a house dog and can be left inside all day while you're at work with no problems.
I'm a big strong boy who loves to play frisbee, fetch and go swimming! I'm loving and affectionate with people I know. Although I've been around children of all ages from toddlers on up and have been fine, I can be protective when strangers come near. For this reason I would do best in an adult only home. I need to be your one and only fur baby in the home as I don't much care for other dogs and cats.
C.A.R.L. volunteer Marion (that is her in the picture with me) has been taking me on offsite trips which I love. She also has been taking me to training classes. I get along better with bigger dogs, but I still don't care for smaller dogs.
I know everyone at C.A.R.L. will shower me with love, but I really want a home and family to call my own.
