Jane the Dog needs a home
Jane Is Another Medical Dog We Are Helping...
Jane is a 8 month old, 35 pound bundle of love who has had a very rough start... Jane was a happy, outgoing puppy who was hit by a car 3 months ago. Her family took her to a shelter in El Centro as they didn’t have the means to help her...sadly, in reality, neither did the shelter.
One of our volunteers learned about Jane a week or so before Christmas. We were told she came in with a broken pelvis and was on crate rest for it to h
eal. Now she was all healed and active but she would spontaneously poop. Hum...okay, with the help of a few friends we were able to get Jane out of there and to our vet right away. We learned in the interim that Jane never saw a vet or had any X-rays or real diagnosis of her injuries...we also learned the scars on her face happened when she was attacked by a kennel mate...
We did X-rays right away and found out that not only didn’t Jane have a pelvic injury she infact had a broken back! After 3 months it has healed as it will and now we are left trying to do right by this sweet and loving girl. We are treating her for a raging urinary tract infection and trying to assess what we can do to try and help her gain some control of her bowels. Jane would love a home and other dogs to play with while we get her the help she needs. She runs, walks, plays like a pup and is great on the leash.
Please consider making a donation towards Jane’s medical care. You can do so from our website www.labradorsandfriends.org (you can also find an application to foster her there too!) or via pay pal direct: [email protected] and of course by check to: Labradors and Friends - 2307 Fenton Parkway #107-160, San Diego, CA 92108.
Jane is one of our many deserving medical pups right now. Other organizations passed on helping her, we didn’t, we are here for her and we cannot do this alone! Thank You!!
