INDIE the Dog needs a home
Indie was found in very poor condition on the side of the road on the Fourth of July. She had quite a bit of hair loss, was very underweight, and had severe hip dysplasia causing her to be almost unable to walk. She has flourished in her foster home after having FHO surgery to address the worse hip, getting medications for her skin infections and getting lots of good food to gain back weight. She now loves to go for walks and will play with her foster sisters for short periods of time. But most of all she loves to get attention from her people - she's happiest when she is getting love and affection from the humans in her life.
Indie is estimated to be around 5 years old, and she weighs about 35 lbs. Breed mix is unknown.
Unfortunately Indie was not looked after properly before she came into the rescue and she is heartworm positive. Please do not let this rule her out for you. She is on an approach to treatment that is not as hard on the dog as the one you may have heard of, and we will provide the medication for this for FREE!
