Russell the Dog needs a home
UPDATE:
Russell has gained his weight back and his skin and coat are looking great again! He enjoyed some time at the Houston Dog Show and was a happy, friendly guy with all the visitors to the foster pen. He has now decided he likes toys, especially if they are very floppy and 3 times his size!! He has also become very playful in games of chase with the other dogs his age. He enjoys lounging on the patio in the sun or sitting in the flower bed, but he would also make an excellent apartment dog as clearly used to live in one and dearly loves walks. He is also a good car rider. Russell has informed his foster mom he prefers a home with no young children as their exuberance and handling frustrates and confuses him. Whether in an apartment or home with a yard, with or without other dogs, with or without older children, Russell would be a great and loving companion for a family or single owner!
INTAKE:
Russell has been given a clean bill of health and received his vaccinations. He weighs 6.25 lbs at the moment. He needs groceries and some skin care from the "fleep" invasion, but otherwise is ready for adoption. He is neutered and microchipped. Russell loves to cuddle and gets along well with other dogs. So far he has not been interested in toys. He is a good boy in his crate and in a play pen, although he figured out how to channel his inner cat and climb right out of the pen when his foster mom left the room!! He is sweet, smart, polite, leash/walk trained, figured out the doggie door immediately, good in the bath, obedient, and seems to be pretty well potty trained. He will be an all around good “furiend.” You know you want him...yes...YOU!!!!!
