BIO: Hi, I’m Doc #4! I was originally adopted from a shelter in Alabama. When I didn’t get along with the children in the house and I supposedly had some potty training issues, I was given away to someone else. I’m a regular “Houdini”, and repeatedly escaped from an insecurely fenced yard. So, then I turned up on Facebook as a give-away. A friend of the rescue saw me, and here I am!
I arrived in Bethlehem, PA in a snow storm. I’ve never seen snow, and I don’t think I’m too fond of it! My three foster fur-siblings are being pretty nice to me so far. Foster Mom (FM) said she is going to work really hard to find me the bestest fur-ever home in the whole wide world, with a family to call my very own! A family that will love me fur-ever!
FM asked what I wanted all of you to know about me. I am 5-years-old, and a bit shy. I know my name and answer to it, if I feel like it. I need to take my time getting to know you. Once I know I can trust you, I will be as loyal as can be! FM says we are working on my social skills and my self-confidence. I need a family who will continue to help me with that too. I am catching on to the walking-on-the-leash thing. I must have a harness for walking since I have a tendency to bolt if I am frightened; a collar is just not secure enough. I need to have a securely fenced yard, due to my exceptional escape skills. I prefer for my human to go outside with me, even in the fenced yard. Although I am technically “housebroken”, I have had a few accidents in the house. FM said she thinks it is a combination of my being in a new place with new people and the fact that the weather is snowy, icy, cold, and wet. FM says that I am “crate trained”. I am a couch potato, and I love to snuggle on the sofa with my human while wrapped in my favorite soft blankie. I prefer to sleep in the big bed with my humans, I feel safe there with them. Although my crate is okay during the day while FM and FD are at work, I do not like sleeping in my crate at night.
I am a very laid-back, quiet guy. I don’t bark or growl, but I do snore a little and I talk in my sleep! I am open to the idea of having a fur-sibling or two. I haven’t met any bigger dogs or cats, so I’m not sure if I like them or not.
Foster Mom will post updates as we get to know each other better. Please feel free to e-mail her with any questions you may have about me!
