Shaggy is waiting to literally bounce into your life, as he enthusiastically runs through the house with ears flapping and smiling a doggy smile, ready for his morning walk! This little guy is just plain gleeful about life, people and other dogs. Shaggy walks well on leash, alternately trotting along and then stopping to view his surroundings with curiosity. He is friendly with other dogs, sniffing and wagging his short little tail in greeting. He loves having his ears, belly and back rubbed and will quickly become your new BFF. He loves dog toys, but is not possessive.
Shaggy is house trained, sleeps all night on his doggy bed, knows basic commands, including hand signals, and will even shake hands for a small treat. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, and a thorough vet check determined he is fit as a fiddle.
Shaggy lives peacefully with other dogs, but it is unknown what he thinks about cats, although with his sweet demeanor he may get along just fine when properly introduced.
Unfortunately Shaggy's original guardians fell on hard times, and had to move. They felt Shaggy would be better off with another family that could provide more stable conditions. Santa Cruz Shelter then introduced POMDR to Shaggy, and we happily took him in to help find his forever home.
