I've been getting more comfortable and gaining confidence everyday! There are so many new things I've discovered that I love - playing outside and wiggling on the carpet are two of my favorites! I also enjoy treats, Zukes are the best, they are the perfect size for my itty bitty mouth with no teeth. 



 




I am still getting used to this new life and can be nervous at times. I don't enjoy loud noises or sudden movements. New things also can be scary, but over time I warm up.  My main goal in life is to please my human!



 



I am improving everyday with my leash walking abilities, I can even potty on the leash! It's still a little confusing, and I don't like anyone to walk behind me, but I have come so far. If you keep working with me on this I can be a pro in no time! Did I mention that I am already housebroken!?


 




I'm mostly a quiet dog, except when someone comes to my house or when other resident dogs bark. I will need another dog in my home to continue learning from. A small dog would be best as I am a pretty small guy. I have even bonded with the resident bunny, we cuddle all the time!  Yes, it is as cute as you can imagine.   



 




I really am a sweet boy who just needs patience and love to help me feel comfortable and come out of my shell.  As long as you take it slow, I'm ready to be friends with anyone, be a cuddle buddy, and make my person happy! Is that person you?



 




Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:  




Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:





All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:





Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
