BRAVO the Dog needs a home
MEET BRAVO!! He is courtesy posted for Maricopa County Animal Care & Control.
Approximately 2 years old and looking for a furever home! This is Bravo's bio, written by his Day Foster mom:
Bravo was good about getting his collar and Easy Walk harness put on to get ready to leave. Hopping in and out of cars seems to be new to him however he doesn’t seem to mind being lifted into the car and with some patience and coaxing he will hop out. Once he is in the car he seems to enjoy the ride and is a very good co-pilot. He's easy going, very gentle and polite.
Bravo’s pull on the leash
wasn’t any more excited than to be expected from a resident that has been with us since June.
We shared some lunch on the way to the trail. Although he was very hungry he managed to take his food with manners and politely. When we arrived at the park he was hesitant to get out of the car however once he was out he was so excited to start exploring. Bravo is drawn to people and the sound of people however he never intrudes in their space or approaches for affection or attention. He was also drawn to the water elements throughout the trail walk whether it was the creek beds or the lakes.
Bravo was a good sport when it came to trying things he was uncomfortable with such as crossing small bridges and traversing down the side of small hills. Many things seemed new to him however after he was successful doing it once he was ready to try it again and again. Bravo does make it clear when he doesn’t want to go one direction or try something new… he simply puts the brakes on. He doesn’t move… however once again with some coaxing and patience he starts to move again. Trust is a big deal for him.
We hiked/ walked almost two miles and along the way he started chasing grasshoppers and butterflies like it was his mission to clear the path of them. It was quite funny to watch. He really seemed to be enjoying himself. From the trails we took the long way to pet store. Bravo had settled in and fallen fast asleep.
When we arrived at the pet store he was like a little kid trying to figure out where he was, again somewhere he had never been before. On our way an elderly couple stopped us and asked to pet him. Bravo is very polite to anyone who approaches him and asks to pet him however he stays a bit aloof. Inside the store he had a great time looking around and meeting more people. Bravo seems to be as sight driven as he is scent driven, he was the same at the park. He is very engaged with his surroundings. He had very good manners during our shopping trip and was sure to put the brakes on as we walked out the front doors. I think he likes shopping. LOL
Overall, Bravo is a smart young boy who will benefit from more positive interactions with different environments and outings. He enjoys adventures however he just needs someone who will be patient while he figures it all out. Although he comes across aloof he seems to want to bond with the one person he knows will never leave him again. He’s just waiting for that person.
