A5140581 George is a playful 8-year-old black-and-caramel male German Shepherd who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on January 4th as a stray from El Monte. Weighing 81 lbs, George is a glorious example of his breed, with a noble face and beautiful coloring. He loves to play and romp and meet new people. George is highly enthusiastic about other dogs,
and can overwhelm them with his exuberance. Although some of this is probably pent-up energy from being stuck in a kennel, we recommend a calm and gradual introduction between George and any potential canine roommates. George is suffering from some alopecia (hair loss) and is tender when touched. He should see an outside vet. This is a beautiful, loving dog who needs a second chance to get the training and attention he deserves. He acts years younger than his age, and has a lifetime of love to give.
