Beagle (short coat) Dog

Rex Beagle the Dog needs a home

COURTESY POST

Rex is a lovely 2-year-old neutered male beagle who is approx. 35 pounds, completely vetted, microchipped and has no health issues. This higher energy young cutie-pie is housetrained and crate trained.  As you may know many beagles can be vocal but our Rex boy is not a big barker and doesn’t bark when left alone.  He does however like to chew so proper chew toys are required and if you need to go out he can be put in his crate for short periods of time with a safe chewy. Rex is social and friendly with other dogs and currently lives with other dogs in his foster home.  He also lives with cats and lives harmoniously with them. He has no issues with strangers and is accepting and friendly of new people. He has no resource guarding or handling issues. He walks well on his haltie collar, rides nicely in the car; enjoys a good game of ball and curling up on the bed at night! In his foster home he has a lovely fenced yard to play in with his foster mom and canine friends.  He has been known to dig holes in the yard but has not been known to dig under the fence.  His ideal home would be a house with fenced-in yard, someone who is home at least part of the day and we really feel that Rex would like to have another dog to keep him company.  Please remember he’s a young guy and needs exercise, training and patience. Happy and loving Rex deserves a caring home where he can unpack his bags once and for all.
