Karney is about 6-7 years old. He is a Golden mix who was dealt a BAD card in life. Karney lived outside chained up his entire life! After almost 6 years he was picked up by Animal Control. He was too weak to stand up, filthy, covered in fleas, and his rotten teeth made it difficult for him to eat. He had to be held at the shelter for 5 months until court was settled. 10.14.16 Karney came into Rescue. Results at his Vet visit – Intestinal parasites, sores all over his body. Skin & ear infection, Scabies, High Heartworm + 4 teeth had to be extracted. KARNEY IS NOW HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! Karney is recovering nicely and his sweet disposition is showing. He is a loving, affectionate and super sweet young man who is looking for his perfect forever home. This boy needs to be loved and spoiled big time. Make sure you chose a dog by breed, size, energy level and age that will fit your activity level and lifestyle We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs). We require that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention (proof required)as well as spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family.
