Harper (w/ Darius) the Bird needs a home
UPDATE: Harper has had surgery to remove the ruptured feather cyst and she has made a full recovery. She is an active and lovely bird and was a little bored with her timid, mild special needs mate Felix. They've been split up and Harper is currently single (but not likely for long).
Hello! We are Felix and Harper, a little fantail male and a homer hen, and we need a nice, calm, safe life in the slow-lane. We were surrendered along with 10 other pigeons to the Marin Humane Society because our person could no longer provide us with a home. We arrived in pretty run-down condition. Harper had a big, painful ruptured feather cyst that she had been coping with for at least a year and I was weak and had feather loss from being picked on. (I'm a lover, not a fighter.) Now that we are in a less crowded and more mellow environment, we're doing much better. Harper has had her surgery and that awful feather cyst is gone and I'm feeling better and stronger too. We are sweet little birds and we need someone kind and patient to give us a forever home where we will be safe. Nobody should be bullied- not even a pigeon!
