Hello world! I am Lance!
I am a Doberman mix of just about a year of age. I am UTD, fixed and chipped. I love to be loved by my humans. I am great with other animals including cats and other dogs of all sizes. I am mellow but need a strong experienced pack leader as I do not do well with strangers. I came from Sacramento’s animal shelter off the bad list, the rescue I am with saved my life just in time! I was in the shelter due to a misunderstanding at my adopter’s home. I should be in a home with no children and my adopters must understand to take it slow and I may also be a bit unsure of strangers and can bark and lung to tell you im scared, its part of my nature to be cautious. My foster mom says I am a "good boy" alot though, and helps me understand slowly that strangers are not scary unless my handler tells me so. I am a strong willed Doberman so first time dog owners should stay clear as I am going to need someone experienced to keep me behaving. I am still undergoing basic training, so adopters should be prepared to carry on my training to help me be the best dog I can.
